Woyww #253

I got to go shopping..... AND make a huge mess of my desk. LOL
I got to go to Michael's yesterday and today.

Then my grandchild came over to stay for a while. (She lives here sometimes and with her other grandparents sometimes).
BUT...My poor little Brookie is sick..... so, the last thing I bought today .... a thermometer ( bottom right corner).

My mess of my desk. Enjoy LOL

Come join in the fun.... I am participating in "WOYWW"  = What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Visit Julia and her blog>>> here to find out more.

Everything was on sale or I used mega coupons.

And more still in the bag.
As you can see, this is not a normal Michael's bag.
Here in my city, we have to bring our own bags to all stores.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care!
and see you all next time.

hugs

  3. Lots of lovely new stash to play with, Kimmer! I do think you are fortunate in the US, having shops like Michael's, and lots of coupons and offers. Crafty stuff is very expensive here in the UK. Sorry to hear your granddaughter is ill and hope she's better soon.

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - I have knitted (and crocheted) for as long as I can remember, and while I don't do a lot of complicated knitting stitches, I do love working with lots of colour! I'm a great Kaffe Fassett fan. This is a long slow project which was neglected for a year while we moved house, and I'm now keen to finish it and start on the next one! I'm afraid the Exciting News will have to wait another week but hopefully by the next but one WOYWW I shall have something fun to report!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

    1. Thanks for stopping by! Time is my enemy when it comes to crocheting, which I love to do. But time is my enemy for all my craftyness of late. My spending spree was fun... and I am done for a long time now, I hope. :)

  7. Now that's what I call retail therapy, Kimmer. You certainly had a lot of fun there in the shop!! Here in Wales we take our own bags - the Welsh Assembly Government decided to make a charge for any bags bought in shops - the money all goes to charity. You just get used to carrying loads of bags in the car!!
    Enjoy all your new purchases.

  8. That's quite a haul! Better still that it was on sale! Like the others have already said .. it would be great to have a look around Michaels here [in the UK].

Thanks for dropping by my blog today, I hope your granddaughter feels brighter soon.

  9. How fun! I have seen those flowers but not the card of lace with the green and pink lace. That would be fun to use in my spring junk journal I am making. Will have to look for it. Enjoy yourself as you create. A focused journey #8

    1. Oh.. that card w/ the lace is actually from a RAK I got. I left a few things on my desk that I was using for the wedding mini that I am making for my youngest son.
Thanks so much for stopping by ! See you next week.

  10. What a great haul of new stash, could do without the thermometer, poor baby. This "spring" weather just hasn't helped keep everyone on the well side, no matter what part of the world you live in.
Thanks for the visit this week. And there are other's behind you so you were not last this week.....LOL

  13. There was a big push for the no bags thing in my city. I'm glad it didn't go through because I use the bags I gets from stores from my trash bags. I didn't want to start buying trash bags! And what would all the dog walkers use to pick up poop?!

It looks like you got a really great haul from your Micheal's trip. I got a $25 gift card for Christmas and I still haven't used it! Shocking I know! Thanks for the visit earlier.

    1. I know about recycling bags from the stores. When I go to the neighboring cities, we get the bags from the store and I still get to save those.
Oh, I got a $100 gift card from Christmas and I think I just finished spending about 2 weeks ago. The way I can afford my hauls is when I go to the store and spend anything. I always take all the change I may get and put it away, or if I get any mover over, I put 75% of it away. Then after a few months, I can go and get the things on my list that I just "have" to have... :) I think after this haul, I am good for another year.

  15. That's a lovely desk of stash you managed to b ring home and it's always better when you manage to get it all at bargain prices. I loved it when I visited US and my friend took me craft shopping with vouchers!

  16. Hi Kimmer, thanks for visiting me and your kind words.
Looks like great things are about to happen on your desk, for me a tidy desk always looks a bit sad and a messy desk is a happy desk lol!
    Happy crafting, Angela x

    1. Hi Danielle, I live in Huntington Beach , California. I think it is fine to carry my own bags, but we are not getting any better prices. LOL What is funny, the stores used to sell these cute (like tinkerbell and other disney or beach themed, etc) bags for 99 cents. And now that we NEED to carry our own, the bag price is $2.99 for the same thing. Thank goodness I had stocked up on those bags when they were 99 cents. :)
thanks so much for stopping by! See you next week.

  19. Love the look of all your goodies! Coupons for crafting stores is not something we get over here, but we only really have one chainstore, Hobbycrafts. Maybe if they had some competition, it would help. Re-using bags is starting to take off over here too, and long overdue, I think. It used to be the norm, many years ago- there really is nothing new under the sun, is there? Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #44 xx

  20. Now that's a stash of supplies. happy happy. I think it should be illegal for them to charge more for bags now that you have to have them. At least it's totally unethical.
    Happy Friday!

  22. I like your messy desk, new stash, what's not to like??!! I like that you have to take your own bags to every shop, but what happens if you forget, or if you hadn't planned on popping in a shop at all! Sorry I'm late, almost time for the next woyww, hope you're not last again, lol!!
